How to choose the roofing type. Sometimes we want to build a small or large building. Not every time we use the architect as a designer, and how do we know what roof suitable for our buildings without extravagance and later problem. The steel roofing is mainly divided into 2 systems including,

Screw system. Screw system is a screw-on system that screw the roof plate with the construction. As a result, it is conveniently fast and most of these type of roofing will have a larger width making it has more space per unit, leading to more cost saving. However, there is a limit about the size. The raw materials we use for roofing are at the same size. When they are formed, they have a separateable characteristic which is, If the roof type is wider, the height will be lower and If the roof type is narrower, the height will be higher.

The higher roofing type, the better it bears rainfall. However, the wider roof type is more economical.

The non-screw roof system. It is a roof system without screwing directly onto the sheet but screwing on the connector and purlin and then attach the roofing sheet onto the connector. This system reduces the chances of leakage to almost zero, because the water leakage is due to the piercing hold of the screw because the steel naturally expands according to the temperature at that time causing the screw to be moved. This is the cause that as time goes by, the leakage may be occurred. This system may use longer installation time because of using the connector. The price and installation cost is higher than the screw system. Some models may require further seamer process.

Another important principle is to select the right model to type of usage, for example, we should not use the siding sheet as the roof as written in the table.
